THISTLE, William Ryan - Bell Farm Investor
Williim Ryan Thistle (1837-1892) began his career as an Ontario Land Surveyor, registering as such in 1858. However, by 1866 he had gone into the lumber business with Carswell and Francis, in the Ottawa Valley.
In 1863 he married Sarah Louisa Egan, and they had three daughters.
