Visited the Bell Farm on August 20, 1884 - Margaret Anne (Cattanach) MacLean (1847-1934) lived in Winnipeg and Qu'Appelle before moving to British Columbia. She was married to Vancouver's first Mayor - Malcolm Alexander MacLean, and was a socially active woman. In 1909 she founded the Women's Canadian Club in Vancouver, and was the first president of the Women's Pioneer Society.
