2010 - The Bell Farmhouse newel post and doorknobs on display
The delicate carving helps display some of the decorative design found inside the Bell Farmhouse at Indian Head.
However, it has not yet been determined if this newel post was original to the 1882 construction, or to later major renovations undertaken by Harry Campkin who owned the Bell Farm home quarter section from 1903 to 1912.
The doorknobs are illustrated in a 1907 Lyons catalogue, and hence would appear to date to the renovations undertaken by the Campkin family.
This newel post and brass doorknobs were donated to the Bell Barn Society on April 28, 2010 by Eleanor Holden, a former resident of the Bell Farmhouse.
