Allan, William Rae
William Rae Allan (1864-1926) was a Winnipeg-based businessman (primarily insurance) and Director of the newly-established Bell Farm Company (1886), as well as a member of the firm of McArthur, Boyle and Allan (formerly McArthur, Boyle and Campbell).

Bruce, Francis Carmichael
Francis Carmichael Bruce was one of the original Investors in the Bell Farm. The "Canada Gazette" for March 1882 (p. 1615), lists the men involved with incorporating the Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company. F.C. Bruce is one of the provisional directors.

Burwell, Julius H.
In 1884, Jule H. BURWELL (1846-1927) owned an agricultural firm in St Paul, Minnesota that specialized in farm machinery, implements and carriages.

CRAWFORD, Robert
Robert Crawford (1834-1897), was known as 'the Laird of Indian Head' and was an original investor in the Bell Farm who helped in selecting its location.

Dewdney, Edgar
Edgar Dewdney, while serving as Lieutenant Governor of the North-West Territories, bought shares in the Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company (also known as the Bell Farm), and served as both a Director of the Company and as its President in 1884.

EBERTS, Hermann Joseph
Hermann Joseph Eberts (1842-1906) was a McGill educated lawyer and a descendant of Austrian nobility. (At one point the family name was recorded as "von Eberts".)

EDEN, Arthur Francis Eden
Arthur F. Eden (b. 1852), was an investor in the Bell Farm and also the Land Commissioner for the Manitoba and North Western Railway.

Thomas Caldwell Elwood (1853-1886) was a Superintendent with the Dominion Telegraph Company.

HOUGHTON, Charles F.
Lt. Col. Charles F. Houghton was an Irishman who served with both the British and Canadian military. After retiring from farming in British Columbia, Houghton was elected to the House of Commons.

HOUSTON, Michael
Michael Houston, a Bell Farm investor, was a lawyer and police magistrate in Chatham, Ontario. His wife, Harriet Northwood and father-in-law William Northwood were also investors.

HOWARD, Thomas
Hon. Thomas Howard (1845-1903) was a Riel veteran, a member of the first Manitoba Legislature, and Director and investor in the Bell Farm in 1884.

KELSO, Charles G.
Charles G. Kelso (1852-1923) - one of the early Bell Farm Investors - was born at Sterling, about 14 miles NW of Belleville, Major Bell's home town. He was married to Helen Booth [Willson] Kelso (1861-1929).

NORTHWOOD, Joseph
Joseph Northwood, one of the original Bell Farm Investors, was a lumber merchant and ran a distillery in Chatham.
