Bell Hotel, Indian Head - later Ripley's Garage

The Hotel, built in 1883 by Major Bell to accommodate visitors to the Bell Farm, was slated for conversion into the Albany Agricultural College in 1886. In 1890 it was sold to Lord Brassey and converted for use as a Hotel Brassey's employees and guests. After the turn of the 20th century, it accommodated a variety of local businesses, including Ripley's Garage in the 1940s.

The former Bell Hotel, situated at the NE corner of Grand Avenue and Woodward Avenue, was demolished in 1964.
